Intervals and cars
Spark plugs every 40,000 km (iridium plugs last longer than copper). Timing belt at 100,000 km on belt engines; chain engines are checked for noise at every service.
Cars we see most for this: Honda Civic and City (VTEC and i-VTEC), Toyota Corolla and Vitz, Suzuki Cultus and Mehran. Also Hyundai, KIA, Changan, Daihatsu and Subaru through the bay.

Asked most often
Can you just clear the light?
We can, but it will come back. The scan tells you why it came on; then you decide whether to fix it now.
Do you do engine overhauls?
Yes. Full overhauls, head gaskets and timing jobs are regular work here. You get a written quote first and the old parts back.
My car overheats in traffic. Is that the radiator?
Sometimes. It can also be the fan, thermostat, a weak water pump or a head gasket. The scan and a pressure test tell us which, before anything is replaced.
How long does a diagnosis take?
Thirty to sixty minutes for the scan and road test. Intermittent faults can take longer; we tell you if that's the case.
